Projects

At LISUDEV, our objective is to improve the quality of
life, promote well-being, and reduce poverty
among underprivileged populations and communities in Cameroon.

Through the amazing work of our team and partnerships with government and other organisations, we assist and empower individuals and communities in 5 main focus areas:

  • Enhancing Healthcare and Well-being
  • Improving Clean Water and Sanitation
  • Enhancing Education and Employment
  • Economic Empowerment of women and girls
  • Promoting sustainable agriculture and climate change

Healthcare

Our program promotes long-term health and wellbeing in rural Cameroon by improving access to healthcare and empowering communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed for self-care, prevention, and collective support.

So far this has included issues relating to:

  • Outbreak response
  • SRHR
  • Healthcare access improvement
  • Pre-conception care

Looking Ahead:

  • Scale existing Mpox response to more affected communities
  • Scale SRHR (HerVoice) project to more rural and hard-to-reach communities and schools

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

The Water, Sanitation and Hygiene program aims to improve health outcomes and quality of life in rural Cameroon through sustainable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education, while building local capacity for community-led management and long-term sustainability.

So far this has included:

  • Accessibility to gender inclusive toilets
  • Access to clean water
  • Menstrual Hygiene promotion

Looking ahead:

  • Construct 3 community water points and 3 sanitation facilities in rural locations and schools.
  • Train community members on water conservation management

Education and Employment

The Education and Employment program aims to improve quality of life in rural Cameroon by increasing access to inclusive education, vocational skills development, and sustainable employment opportunities, while fostering community-led economic resilience and long-term self-sufficiency.

So far this has included:

  • Education for internally displaced children and young girls
  • Entrepreneurship and financial management training for girls, farmers and women-owned businesses

Looking ahead:

  • Establish a community solar powered e-learning center with digital learning tools
  • Train small holding farmers in eco-friendly agricultural practises
  • Train and support 200 women and girls in entrepreneurship through business incubation, and provide targeted support to 50 women-led enterprises to enhance economic independence.
