SRHR, Menstrual Health and Hygiene
Issue:
Limited awareness of SRHR and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) practices in schools across Cameroon.
Poor school sanitation facilities for girls present a significant barrier to proper menstrual health management.
Lack of adequate facilities and materials causes girls to miss school, impacting attendance and academic performance.
Goal:
Improve access to SRHR and menstrual hygiene education and products across 10 schools in the Northwest region.
Promote equity and dignity for menstruating students in schools.
Impact:
5,000 adolescent girls across 4 schools gained knowledge on menstrual hygiene management and sexual reproductive health.
4 school clinics equipped with 500 sanitary pads.
Students empowered with knowledge on menstrual health, sexual reproductive health and environmental hygiene.
