HerVoice-Breaking Barriers
Issue:
Over 70% of girls lacked menstrual health knowledge and access to sanitary products.
Girls used unsafe materials, like dirty rags and leaves, for menstruation, leading to health risks and school absenteeism.
Limited understanding of body autonomy, menstrual cycles, and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR).
Goal:
Improve menstrual health, hygiene, and SRHR knowledge among adolescent girls and boys.
Reduce period poverty through access to safe, reusable menstrual products.
Promote school attendance, confidence, and well-being of adolescent girl.
Build sustainable peer-led education through trained SRHR and menstrual hygiene ambassadors.

Impact:
303 students across four schools received comprehensive SRHR and menstrual health education.
50 internally displaced adolescent girls received reusable menstrual pads lasting up to three years.
20 students and community volunteers (including boys) trained as menstrual hygiene and SRHR ambassadors.
