Smallholder groundnut farmers in Njikwa face persistently low yields due to poor access to quality seeds and limited farming knowledge.
Changing climates, pest, disease, and post-harvest losses is making farming economically inviable
Farmers lack basic financial literacy, leaving them unable to track costs, plan effectively, or escape cycles of poverty
Goal:
Train 30 smallholder farmers in climate-smart agricultural practices covering key stages including land preparation, seed selection, pest management and harvesting
Build practical financial management and record-keeping skills


Impact:
30 farmers improved their knowledge and skills in groundnut production.
Farmers better equipped to track production costs and improve profitability.
Improved household incomes and food security in Njikwa Greater economic empowerment for smallholder farmers in the region.
