Strengthening Healthcare in Njikwa

As part of our unwavering commitment to improving health and well-being in rural communities, Local Initiative for Sustainable Development (LISUDEV) participated in the 2nd Quarter Coordination Meeting with the Njikwa Health District team. The meeting took place on the 4th and 5th of July and was chaired by the District Medical Officer (DMO).

This quarterly review and planning session brought together a broad network of stakeholders including representatives from the Ministère de la Santé Publique du Cameroun (MINSANTE), International Medical Corps (IMC), GLOCIR, various local health units, and other development partners. The focus of the meeting was twofold: to evaluate the progress made in the second quarter and to strategize and plan for effective health service delivery in the upcoming quarter.

For LISUDEV, this collaboration reflects our continued dedication to supporting inclusive, community-driven health interventions. Our participation in this coordination effort aligns with our broader mission to foster sustainable development through improved health systems, increased community involvement, and targeted health awareness initiatives.

We believe that strengthening local health structures and fostering multisectoral partnerships are vital to improving healthcare access in underserved areas like Njikwa. By aligning our work with the National Health Development Plan and district-level priorities, we strive to scale up the impact of our health programs and bring lasting change to the lives of rural populations.

Through shared learning, strategic planning, and meaningful partnerships, we can make tangible progress toward accessible and equitable healthcare for all.

  1. Teaching the girl child the dignity in menstrual is a great way in improving self esteem and eradicating stigma. Great job LISUDEV.
